Jamie won a wall design competition hosted by the college in partnership with Escape Technology.

“I am very happy with the fact that I won the competition I put in a lot of effort creating multiple designs that I believe where some of the best designs that I have produced. This competition has allowed me to improve my skills in graphic design substantially and I am glad that I took part.”

“The way that I found my inspiration was from researching many different types of banners and one design that I liked the most was the repeating shapes and I believed that these would look great as a wall banner.”

“I learnt a lot during the process of creating the many banners, this project helped me improve my skills in photoshop greatly because I was able to use many new features that where unknown to me and it allowed me to learn from my mistakes that happened when creating other banners.”

“Working on the industry project was very fun because it allowed me be fully creative when designing all of the banners, it was also really helpful that I had the rest of my class to help with feedback and ways that I could improve all my designs.”

“I thoroughly enjoy the hands-on aspect of the course, as it allowed me to put into practice the concepts and skills I learned in a real-world setting. The creative freedom granted in designing and building websites was particularly exciting for me, as I was able to experiment with various design elements and layouts.”
