Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs) are technical qualifications developed in partnership with leading employers and aim to help students get the right training and skills needed to succeed in the workplace. HTQs offer a more practical, employer-focused study programme and are offered as a viable alternative to degrees or apprenticeships.
We currently offer HTQS in Construction, Computing and Engineering and there are exciting plans to have more available soon.
You’ll earn either a level 4 or 5 qualification depending on the course you take. There are many different types of approved HTQs, such as HNDs, HNCs, foundation degrees and higher education diplomas. Gain the skills, knowledge and behaviours that employers want for a particular specialist role. HTQs are an option for young people starting their career and for adults looking to upskill or retrain.
