Careers Advice & Guidance
Here at the group, we pride ourselves on providing a high quality, confidential, impartial, and supportive Careers Advice and Guidance service. This is open to all students throughout their time with us, we offer group workshops, individual bookable appointments, and drop-in appointments.
The aim is to help students plan their future and discuss, research the variety of options available to them and their skills building on from their aspirations for life after college.
The College’s Careers Team is here to help make informed career decisions and help to plan their next steps, by providing impartial advice on questions such as:
- Not sure what to do when you finish your studies?
- Need help looking for employment or apprenticeship?
- Need advice about choosing a course for next year?
- Need help with choosing a university course?
- Want some practical help with applications or CVs?
- Need help preparing for an interview?
The service also assists to explore which potential pathways best suit their interests, skills and aspirations. We are proud to have available specialist L6 qualified impartial careers advisors, whilst also proudly holding the Matrix Standard and working within the Gatsby framework- further helping to ensure our support is of the highest standard.

Pathways
Our students utilise Pathways One to help ensure that they can make informed career decisions, based on live local labour market insight (LMI). Salary, predicted employment and other detailed Labour Market Information is displayed for every job at a regional and national level. You can watch videos of real people talking about their jobs. See the common study routes people take to progress to their chosen career, to help make informed choices from your next step.
