“The IT course is very well-rounded at Wakefield College, covers a wide range of topics and gives you the opportunity to try everything out and find what you’d really like to do. I also like the balance of the course because I’m interested in both the technical side, such as coding, as well as the more creative side like web development. All of my tutors are supportive and provide a lot of resources on Microsoft Teams that cover lots of topics which are really helpful. Because I have studied data modelling and spreadsheets, I am able to help my dad with his company’s accounts outside of college, so the skills I have learnt on the course, I’m already applying to work experience. After college, I’d like to study Architecture at university. I think this course is helping me to achieve this as Architecture involves a lot of CAD (Computer-aided Design) so my IT, digital and design skills link well to it.”
