“My favourite part about FLEX is that I get to socialise with all the people in my classes. We have been on a few trips including to the local Rhubarb Radio which I really enjoyed as I practiced being a radio presenter. I also liked the Colour Run at Thornes Park and the Sport activities at the Light Waves site.”
“My tutor, Claire, has been really helpful as she always adapts my work for me and makes sure I have all the equipment that I need. My independence is coming on well and I am trying to be more independent everyday by trying new things all the time. My course has helped me build my social skills (even though I am already good at talking) which is helping me prepare for the future. After I complete this course, I am planning to move to Level 1 Employability to build my confidence further before going onto another course at the College. My dream job would be to sell watches as I find them very interesting. I’d also really like to be a radio presenter on Rhubard Radio, Heart FM, Greatest Hits or Classic FM.”
