“I am going to study Social Work at Manchester Metropolitan University where I will be working towards becoming a Social Care Worker, working with both troubled youths and the elderly. I chose the T Level course because the hands-on learning really appealed to me as it’s the method of learning that I prefer. I felt quite unprepared before I joined this course but after completing it, I now know what the healthcare sector is like and I have improved my teamwork and communications skills.”

“The support we have received on the course by tutors has been so helpful and there were many opportunities to speak one on one with them. They would discuss any complex subjects with me to help me understand them and give me insight into how I can improve my grades. They also were able to give me any information about work placement opportunities which was really helpful. After completing my placement in a care home, I was offered a job there as they recognised my professionalism and approachability which is key when working in dementia care. I now know how to approach all different kinds of people and situations and I’ve adapted to working under pressure in my role which will help me lots when I go to university and into a future job.”
