"I’m doing a HTQ in Construction Management. I was interested in furthering my learning and becoming more knowledgeable in management and construction. So, after a bit of research, I found the HTQ. The course attracted me because it looks great on a CV, makes you more employable and makes you stand out as a candidate.
I work outside of college for a construction company and attend college on a Tuesday. The overall benefit of studying is you cover many aspects of construction, especially management, so it gives you a great foundation to better yourself as a professional and take what we have learnt in class, back on to site. I have a lot more confidence now that I have the knowledge and theory as I’m able to participate in conversations with different trades and professionals. My days on site are great because it’s the practical side, too and you get to work with all sorts of trades.
The support from the college has been great. Any questions I’ve had, no matter what day, my tutors have responded promptly. I’ll keep working for my employer as I really do love the company’s culture and use what I’ve gained from completing the course to better myself as a professional and gain a more senior role.
My advice to others would be to consider the HTQ, I don’t think there’s any other course where you would gain the amount of knowledge and expertise that you gain on completing this course."
