Celebrity Hairdresser, Andrew Barton, recently held a bespoke masterclass for hair professionals at Castleford College – providing insights into the latest colour and cutting trends.
Andrew and his team offered trend-focused cutting and colouring demonstrations to individuals and businesses, including hairdressers, salon owners and managers and those that teach hairdressing.
The workshop took place within Castleford College’s state-of-the-art hairdressing salon, Elements.
Andrew Barton, said: “Whether professionals require tailor-made haircutting training or want to discover creative haircutting, my bespoke workshops offer a way for them to adapt their skills or refresh old habits. I thoroughly enjoyed delivering my most recent masterclass at Castleford College, which covered a range of cutting and styling techniques and explored the beautiful colour trends which will take the industry by storm in the year ahead. Elements made the perfect setting for the afternoon and I would like to thank the hairdressing department at Castleford College for their hospitality. The support of the College is incredibly valuable to me and the rest of the Andrew Barton London Education (ABLE) team, as well as the wider hairdressing industry.”
In 2021, the Hair and Beauty department at Castleford College set up a partnership with Andrew and his ABLE programme, which sees Andrew use his vast experience and knowledge to work with College tutors to create a truly tailored education for students.

From creative to classic haircutting and contemporary hairstyling, students are able to learn a range of industry-level skills and abilities as part of the ABLE initiative.
Andrew is renowned as hairdressing royalty and holds a string of awards including British Hairdresser of The Year, British Hair Icon and Honorary Doctorate (Hon D Arts0 for his services to the hairdressing industry.
One of the UK’s most celebrated hairdressing names, Andrew’s work graces global magazines from cover to editorial, TV campaign to print advertising and he is on speed dial to the British beauty press.
