Monday
Apprenticeship-themed Open Events
We welcomed prospective students to our first apprenticeship-themed Open Event of the week on Monday evening. Attendees were able to find out more about the wide range of apprenticeships the Group offers, what the benefits of studying an apprenticeship are and hear from the Group’s current and former apprentices.
Tuesday
Putting digital at the forefront
It was fantastic to see so many employers from a range of different industries at our digital-themed Employer Breakfast. Held at The Education Exchange in Knottingley, the event provided a great opportunity for businesses and professionals to discuss their digital plans and skills needs in this area.
Attendees were able to hear from employers including Annimersion and the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group about how they have embraced the digital world and integrated it into their businesses, as well as enjoy a free breakfast!
Wednesday
On Wednesday, Wakefield College and Castleford College welcomed over 200 students at the two College sites for the second round of apprenticeship-themed Open Events. The Apprenticeships Team across the Group delivered an informative talk at both campuses as well as hosting a stand where visitors could consult one-on-one with a team member about the option of apprenticeships at the Colleges.
