Course Overview
Developing a sound basis for aspiring managers and leaders, this popular course is for junior/middle managers or those hoping to achieve that role and is designed to develop your management skills whatever your industry or organisational type.
The programme is structured on a modular basis and each module is delivered using a range of techniques including lectures, group work, case studies and technology.
What You Will Study
The CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership encompasses these modules:
- Managing Stakeholder Relationships
- Using Reflective Practice to Inform Personal and Professional Development
- Managing Change
- Principles of Developing, Managing and Leading Individuals and Teams to Achieve Success
- Managing Finance
- Managing Projects to Achieve Results
- Creating and Delivering Operational Plans
- Principles of Management and Leadership in an Organisational Context
- Attendance Expectations
Virtual sessions will be delivered on two mornings per month via Microsoft Teams.
- How You Will Be Assessed
For each of the modules, you will need to complete a written assessment based on relevant workplace scenarios.
- Entry Requirements
English and Maths at Level 2 (Functional Skills or GCSEs at Grade 4 or above).
Where the applicant does not meet the course entry requirements - Level 2 or GCSE qualification at Grade 4 or above in English and/or Maths, entry will be considered on previous leadership and management qualifications.
Participants will normally be either practising or aspiring junior/middle managers. Learners should have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme.
Prospective students will be interviewed prior to being accepted on the course.
