Course Overview

This course can either be studied at Castleford College or Selby College.

Level 3 Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering is a transformative programme designed for forward-thinking individuals eager to delve into the intricacies of modern manufacturing.

Through hands-on training, collaborative projects, and industry input, students will emerge with heightened confidence, refined critical thinking abilities and the skills necessary to progress in the rapidly evolving field of advanced manufacturing.

What You Will Study

This course will cover electronic and mechanical disciplines to give you a diverse understanding of the engineering industry and allow you to make informed choices for future progression. You will study topics such as maths, CAD, electronic principles, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics and material science.

  • How You Will Be Assessed

    This course is assignment based. Assignments could be in the form of reports, presentations or practical investigations.

  • Entry Requirements

    4 GCSEs at Grade 9-4, including English and two Sciences and a minimum of Grade 5 in Maths.

    OR

    An appropriate Level 2 qualification and GCSE Grade 9-4 in English and Maths will be considered.

  • Further Study

    BTEC Higher National Certificate in Engineering or an Engineering degree course.
