What You Will Study
Throughout this course you study 18 units over different subject areas including Biology and Chemistry. Some of the units are:
- Cell Division and Genetic Variation
- Nutrition and Digestion
- Chemistry of Drugs and Medicine
- Chemistry of Pollution
- Attendance Expectations
There is no on-site attendance required, though students are expected to undertake 10-15 hours study per week. With 1:1 tutorials available.
- How You Will Be Assessed
You will be assessed through a variety of different methods, including written essays, presentations and timed control assessments.
- Entry Requirements
GCSE Grade 9-4 in English and Maths.
GCSE Grade 9-4 in Science would be beneficial.
- Fee Information
There is funding available for this course, subject to previous qualifications, if you are not eligible for funding the course can be funded via the Advanced Learner Loan.
- Further Study
Upon success completion of this course this will allow students to progress to many different university courses including:
- Biochemistry
- Biomedical Science
- Higher Level Apprenticeships
