Course Overview
This course can either be studied at Wakefield College or Castleford College.This course is ideal for students requiring a transition programme to prepare them for post-16 learning. It has been developed with partner schools and aims to ensure students are comfortable and familiar with the College before they progress to College full time FLEX courses in Year 12.
Students will participate in a range of practical activities that include elements of our post-16 FLEX provision and help to familiarise them with the College, our staff, the way lessons are delivered, and what they will study when moving on to study with us.
What You Will Study
The course activities include vocational tasters, a range of personal and social development activities and tasks which encourage students to work individually and in teams. There is also a specific focus on developing basic employability skills.
