“After achieving an A in Film Studies, I’m going to continue to study it at Sheffield Hallam University which I am so pleased about as it’s my first-choice university. I want to work in film and media and go into teaching it at university. I really enjoyed the coursework as we got the opportunity to make our own short film which I found really fun and found myself inspired by experiment works such as ‘Meshes of the Afternoon’.”
“I found an interest in film studies as I have also always loved music and grew up analysing music videos. I learnt how to effectively write essays and be analytical as well as build my digital skills such as video editing which will all prepare me for further study at university. All the staff I’ve had have been amazing and are one of my favourite things about studying at Wakefield College. My advice to people wanting to study A Levels is to work hard but make sure you balance your mental health and academic studies.”
